“Journey through Sirah” Course to Be Held in London University
Following the “Journey through the Quran”, IIDR brings to you another unique course – Journey through the Sirah – an intensive 4 day course on the life, teachings and legacy of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) which is going to be held in London University in 4 days (6-7 & 13-14 April).
The Quran describes the life and personality of Prophet Muhammad (s) as the best of role models. His life embodied the ethics and values of the Quran. His message was one of love, mercy, justice, freedom and equality.
In these 4 days 100 Self development lessons from the Sirah, Overview of all 63 years of the Prophet's life, Prophet Muhammad’s life through the prism of the Quran, Prophet Muhammad as a teacher, husband, father, entrepreneur, leader and spiritual guide will be taught.
100 Prophetic traditions on faith, character, personal integrity, social justice, compassion and co-existence, Supplications of the Prophet and the spiritual quest, Implications of the Prophet's Makkan period on Western Muslims, An insight into the civil society of Madina with a focus on pluralism and gender-relations and Relevance of the Prophet’s life and teachings in the 21st Century are the other themes to be taught in this course.
Shaykh SM Hasan al-Banna, the founding director of the Islamic Institute for Development & Research (IIDR) and Adil Salahi, author of 'Muhammad - Man and Prophet' and the translator of 'In the Shade of the Quran' are the instructors of the course.
