Tehran to Host 26th Int’l Islamic Unity Conference

The 26th International Islamic Unity Conference will be organized in Tehran by the Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought.
Slated for January 27-28, the conference will be held on the theme of “Great Prophet (PBUH), Symbol of the United Islamic Ummah’s Identity”.
Scholars, intellectuals and thinkers from 56 countries such as Malaysia, Russia, Indonesia, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Algeria, United States, Britain, Tunisia, Denmark, Qatar, China, Yemen and Egypt are expected to attend the two-day event.
Papers will be presented at the conference on subjects including ‘holy prophet (PBUH) and single Islamic identity’, ‘perspectives of Islamic unity’, and ‘Islamic Awakening’.
The participants will discuss ways for spreading the culture of unity and proximity among Muslims, highlighting the lofty Islamic objectives in the unity of the Ummah, role of Islamic countries’ constitutions in strengthening Muslim unity, role of devotion to the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and the Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) in shaping the Islamic identity, role of women in promotion of unity and proximity, and the manifestations of Islamic unity.
Discussions will also feature the western media’s attempts against Islamic Awakening, role of resistance spirit in shaping the culture of unity, role of the youth in fostering Islamic Awakening, and the stance of the West and international organizations toward the Holy prophet (PBUIH).
Before the start of the international conference, the Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought will hold a celebration on January 25, on the occasion of the World Day of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
