Religious Scholars Urged to Be Diligent in Fulfilling Their Duties

Grand Ayatollah Nouri Hamedani urged religious elites and scholars to be diligent in carrying out their momentous responsibilities.
Speaking in a meeting with officials from West Azarbaijan province, the grand source of emulation underlined that religious elites have a lofty status in Islam and their responsibilities are heavier than other groups in society.
He further pointed to the contemporary political developments, saying that since the victory of the Islamic Revolution, the world arrogance has been trying to provoke sedition and trouble in the country through hard war and then soft war onslaughts.
Grand Ayatollah Nouri Hamedani underscored that the people of Iran have foiled the enemy ploys and will do so in the future as well.
He referred to the Islamic Revolution led by Imam Khomeini (RA) as resembling the movements at the advent of Islam, saying that Imam Khomeini (RA) started his movement as one against the world arrogance.
The grand Ayatollah said Imam Khomeini (RA) was the flag-bearer of true Islam who continued the trend of justice-seeking uprisings.
He also said that the secret for the progress and strength of the Islamic Revolution and the establishment in different arenas is the leadership of Vali Faqih (Supreme Jurist).
Elsewhere in his remarks, the senior cleric highlighted the major role of West Azarbaijan province in defending the ideals of the Islamic Revolution both before and after its victory.
Governor of West Azarbaijan province, representative of the province in the Assembly of Experts and the Firsay prayer leader of Orumiyeh, capital city of West Azarbaijan province were present at the meeting with Grand Ayatollah Nouri Hamedani on Sunday.
