Head of the competition’s public relations office Peyman Almasinejad said the number is expected to rise to 50,000.
He told IQNA that the university’s Khuzestan branch will host the final round of the contest in May.
“The preliminary round will be held at university branches across the country on February 19, and the holy city of Mashhad will host the provincial level on March 8.”
Almasinejad said those willing to take part in the contest can refer to its website to sign up.
He added that so far the provinces of Khuzestan, Fars and Isfahan have had the highest number of students registering for the competition.
