Quran & Hadith Olympiad in over 40 Countries

Director of Al-Mustafa International University’s Quran and Hadith Department said the International Quran and Hadith Olympiad has started in more than 40 countries.
Hossein Assadi told IQNA’s Qom branch that the Olympiad has concluded in 15 countries and will finish in the rest of countries by the end of this month.
“The 18th International Quran and Hadith Olympiad of Al-Mustafa University started late October, concurrent with the birth anniversary of imam Hadi (AS), in over 40 countries and will continue until January 29, concurrent with the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).”
He noted that the Olympiad has already come to an end in countries like the Philippines, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Thailand, Georgia,, Tanzania, Turkey, Lebanon, Madagascar, Niger, Albania, Ivory Coast, and Iraq.
According to the official, some 2500 individuals have taken part in 39 oral categories, 13 written categories and 17 work-based categories of the contest.
He added that scientific forums will be held on the final days of the event, and one of the great figures of the Muslim world will be honored at the closing ceremony.
Mr. Assadi went on to say that there have been good and comprehensive Quranic activities at the university in the current academic year, named “The Quran and Great Prophet (PBUH)”.
