Importance of Arbaeen Highlighted in Moscow
The philosophy and importance of marking Arbaeen, the 40th day after anniversary of Imam Hussein’s (AS) martyrdom, was highlighted in a forum in Moscow.
According to IQNA’s ICRO branch, Khatam-ul-Anbia Mosque of the city hosted the program organized by Iranian Cultural Center in Russia.
It was addressed by Hojat-ol-Islam Ezheyi, representative of the Supreme Leader in students’ affairs in Europe.
The scholar clarified the philosophy of Imam Hussein’s (AS) uprising and the reason why Muslims mark the end of the forty-day mourning period after the anniversary of the 7th century martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS).
The program was held after the congregational evening prayers and continued with reading elegies.
