According to lopinion website, the contest will feature various categories including memorization, recitation, interpretation and Tarteel of the Holy Quran. It will be organized by Morocco’s Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs.
The ministry announced that the Quranic contest has been planned on the occasion of birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
The Quranic School of Malik Hassan II Mosque will host the opening ceremony of the contest on January 14 at 10:30 a.m. local time.
The 7th edition of the contest was attended by 23 Qaris and 19 Quran memorizers from Tunisia, Central Africa, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Pakistan, Brunei, Comoros, Oman, Senegal, Gambia, Turkey, Gabon, Nigeria, Mali, Kuwait, Palestine, Malaysia, Jordan, Egypt, Yemen, Algeria, Mauritania and Indonesia.
