Well-known Egyptian Qari to Attend Quran Contest in Iran
Mahmood Shahat Anwar, prominent Egyptian Qari, will come to Iran to attend the 35th Awqaf National Quran contest.
According to IQNA’s correspondent, the contest will be held on January 27 in Sari city, Mazandaran province.
As the guest of honor of the contest, he will recite some verses of the Holy Quran at the event to be attended by well known Quran activists, Qaris and memorizers.
The event will be organized concurrent with Fadjr (ten-day dawn) celebrations with the aim of promoting Quranic teachings in the country.
Some 400 reciters and memorizers including men and women will be in attendance to the event.
