Gaza, Symbol of Resistance against Injustice
Gaza has stood up against Zionism in all political, cultural and social dimensions and has turned to a symbol of resistance against injustice in the world.
Abdullah Balam, head of Africa’s Seminarians Union, made the remark in an interview with IQNA, adding that the Zionist regime is not only an enemy of Palestine, but a foe of all humanity.
The Muslim researcher from Burkina Faso pointed to the recent war in Gaza and the accomplishments of the resistance movement, saying that the Zionist regime in this war was an example of the ‘spider’s house’, as mentioned in verse 41 of Surah Al-Ankabut “The example of those who take allies other than Allah is like that of the spider who takes a home. And indeed, the weakest of homes is the home of the spider, if they only knew.”
Mr. Balam said in the past, the Zionist regime would start and end a war as it saw fit. “But this time, it was the Palestinians who managed to target Israel’s heart and force it to seek an end to the war and a ceasefire as soon as possible.”
He said the latest war (8-day war between Hamas and the Zionist regime) proved the significance and effectiveness of resistance.
The Al-Mustafa University graduate noted that residents of the Occupied lands left their houses and workplaces for shelters fearing the rockets of the resistance movement while Palestinians showed no fear despite the enemy’s 24-hour attacks.
He regarded helping the people of Gaza as a responsibility for all Muslims in the world, saying that the Gaza Strip has turned into a big prison as a result of the blockade imposed by teh Zionist regime.
“If Muslims, Shia and Sunni, get united around their true Islamic identity, they will certainly see the victory of Islam and then the victory of Palestine.”
Abdullah Balam further referred to the Zionist regime’s excavations under the Al-Aqsa Mosque and warned that the Zionists are desperately trying to destroy Islamic sites in Palestine.
In the interview, he also touched on the situation of Muslim in his country, saying that there is a need for awakening among Muslims in Burkina Faso.
He stressed that Muslims should take Iran’s example and follow the guidelines of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
