Human Development, Foundation of Iran’s Progress in the Face of Sanctions

Head of the Islamic Culture and Relations (ICRO) said the foundation of Iran’s progress in the face of sanctions and pressures is human development.
Dr Mohammad Baqer Khorramshad made the remark in a ceremony on Sunday held to mark the signing of a memorandum of cultural cooperation between the ICRO and the National Library and Archives Organization.
He described the current era as the era of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s burgeoning in the fields of scientific, research and knowledge despite all pressures.
Dr Khorramshad referred to the large extent of the Islamic Iran’s cultural and civilizational domain, saying that the ICRO and the National Library and Archives Organization ought to work for spreading cultural presence in various parts of the world.
Es’hagh Salahi, head of National Library and Archives Organization during the ceremony said signing the memorandum would help to spread the two cultural organization’s cooperation for elevation of Islamic-Iranian culture and civilization.
Also speaking at the event was Mohammad Reza Dehshiri, ICRO’s Research and Educational Deputy, who suggested a joint council comprising representatives from ICRO, Awqaf Organization and National Library and Archives Organization be set up for organizing the efforts to collect and catalogue Islamic and Persian manuscripts.
