Bahrain’s Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society has called on people of the country for a massive turnout in a planned rally in Manama.
According to the group, the rally titled “We will never stop pursuing our rights” will be held on Friday, January 25, the Sawt Manama website reported.
Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society said the Al-e Khalifa regime has committed barbaric crimes against women, men and children in Manama.
It condemned the regime’s crackdown on peaceful demonstrations and said Bahrainis have employed peaceful demonstrations to demand democracy.
The society underlined the people’s right to stage peaceful demonstrations and demand an end to the dictatorship in the country.
Manama was the scene of a protest rally called by the February 14 Youth Movement as well as a demonstration last Friday known as Friday of Karama (dignity).
The regime attacked the peaceful demonstrations with tear gas and sound bombs.
