According to saphirnews website, the group comprising young Muslims in France and members of various associations and mosques decided to distribute the book "Beyond the Caricatures ; "The True Face of the Prophet Muhammad", by Noureddine Aoussat to allow non-Muslims to learn about the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
Despite the cold, the young Muslims distributed 11000 copies of the book at Montparnasse train station , Gare du Nord, East of Lyon, Chatelet and Saint-Lazare.
Rabi Magri was the initiator of the project. The idea of distributing books on the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) germinated in his mind in September 2012, when Charlie Hebdo published the cartoons.
To counter misconceptions circulating around the Prophet Muhammad, the book distributed by the group was not chosen at random. "The true face of the Prophet Muhammad" was published first in 2007, in response to the Danish cartoons that had been taken over by Charlie Hebdo. After the events of 2012, it was updated.
In addition, some copies of the book were sent to Liège in Belgium and “2000 will be distributed in prisons for Muslims and non-Muslims," said Mr Magri.
At a time when the Muslim community needs to communicate, the operation is useful against many prejudices that affect Muslims.
Distributing books on the Prophet, the group has chosen to respond to misconceptions about Muslims by the weapon of knowledge. Similar operations will be organized in Lyon, Dijon and other cities.
The author of the book also announced that 50,000 copies will be distributed at the 30th Annual Meeting of Muslims in France (RAMF) at Le Bourget in late March.
