Rare Old Quran Copies to Be Exhibited in Medina

A collection of rare old copies of the Holy Quran from various parts of the world will be put on display at an exhibition in the holy city of Medina.
According to AL-Riyadh Newspaper, Mohammad bin Shadid Al-Awfi, secretary general of King Fahd Complex for Printing and Publication of the Holy Quran announced that the exhibition will be held on the sidelines of the 7th international seminar on “printing and publication of the Holy Quran; realities and perspectives”.
The Quran exhibition aims to enrich the seminar and will play an important role in realization of teh evnet's objectives, he added.
The official stated that the participants at the exhibition have been invited to present rare Quran copies including translations of the Quran, digital copies of the Quran, copies with different scripts and various old and new technologies applied in publication of the Holy Quran.
Al-Awfi noted that the call for participation at the exhibition and detailed information in this respect will be released on the website of the exhibition.
The scientific Committee of the seminar has announced that February 11 will be the deadline for sending research works for the seminar.
