“Holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH)” Seminar in Kazan

A seminar titled “Holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH)” was held by the Office for Muslims’ Religious Affairs in Kazan, capital of the Republic of Tatarstan.
According to IQNA’s branch in Europe, Al-Marjani Mosque of the city hosted the program on the auspicious occasion of birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) on January 29.
It was held with the participation of a number of religious scholars and intellectuals from Russia, Tatarstan and Dagestan including Muhammad Muhammadov, deputy of Dagestan’s Mufti, Sa’eed Kamelov, director of Russia’s Islamic Civilization Institute, Rafiq Muhammad Shin, president of Tatarstan’s Islamic University, Alexi Hekmat Awlin, head of the Section of Manuscripts of Saint Petersburg Center of Sciences and Ra’ufa Urazman Awa, senior researcher of Al-Marjani Institute of History.
The status of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in Muslims’ rituals and traditions as well as the cultural, religious and educational aspects of ceremonies held on the occasion were the themes discussed at the seminar.
