Installing New Zarih of Imam Hussein (AS) Begins in Karbala

Installation of the new Zarih (brassy lattice windows surrounding the holy shrine) of Imam Hussein (AS) has started in Karbala.
Hassan Palarak, who heads the Headquarters for Reconstruction of Atabat Aliyat (holy Shia sites in Iraq), made the announcement in an interview with IQNA, adding that the installation project will not make any problems for the pilgrims and that they can visit the holy shrine.
He said the previous Zarih has been removed from the holy shrine and a new foundation has been built for the Zarih.
According to Mr. Parlak, uninstalling and removing the previous Zarih took 12 days and it will take 40 more days to install the new one.
He noted that after the completion of the installation project, a ceremony will be held for unveiling the new Zarih.
The new Zarih was designed by prominent Iranian miniaturist Master Mahmoud Farshchian and top masters in the fields of calligraphy, Monabbat (wood-carving), Ghalam-zani (toreutics, metal-working), etc have worked on ot, which measures 22.86 meters in area.
