Imam Khamenei’s support for the oppressed Palestinian nation has breathed the spirit of resistance into Intifada groups.
This is according to the Supreme Leader’s advisor in international affairs Dr Ali Akbar Velayati while addressing a conference in Lahore earlier this week.
Dr Velayati commemorated the pioneers of Islamic Awakening in the past two centuries including Sayyed Jamaleddin Assadabadi, Hassan Al-Bina, Mohammad Ali Jinah and especially Imam Khomeini (RA).
He said that today the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution is the one who is standing against the bullyings of the Zionists.
He also referred to late Allameh Ghazi Hussein Ahmed, former head of Pakistan Jama’at Islami group, and said, “The main theme of today’s conference is commemorating the late scholar who was among the flag-bearers of Islamic Awakening and unity among Islamic schools of thought.
A number Iranian and Pakistani figures took part in the Lahore conference titled “Islamic Awakening and Role of Scholars”. It was held to discuss the ideas of Allameh Ghazi Hussein Ahmed.
