The event will include different programs such as Iranian film screening sessions, live music performances, puppet shows and art exhibitions.
An Iranian puppet play titled Chelcheloon directed by Mehdi Habibi is slated to be performed at Ljubljana Puppet Theatre Center during the festival.
The show depicts Iranian traditions on Chelleh Night (Yalda Night), the longest night of the year that is celebrated by Iranians at the end of the last day of autumn.
Slovenian President Danilo Turk had earlier admired Iran's rich cultural background and said “it acts as an important factor in the enhancing of relations between the Islamic Republic and other countries.”
Iran’s cultural festival in Slovenia is programmed to take place from February 5 through 8, 2013.
