Imam Khamenei Praises Iranian Nation for Epical Presence in Sunday Rallies
Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khamenei lauded the Iranian nation for their insight, courage and timeliness manifested in their epical presence in Sunday rallies.
Held with the massive participation of Iranians across the country, the rallies marked the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution’s victory.
Imam Khamenei described the huge participation of the Iranian nation as a great event.
Presence of people from all strata, old and young, women and men, on the scene 34 years after the victory of the Islamic Revolution is a great Divine blessing for which one should be grateful, His Eminence said.
Imam Khamenei compared celebrating the Islamic Revolution’s victory with celebrations held in other countries where a revolution has taken place, stressing that in Iran, the people own the revolution and that is why they support this great asset, which is the basis of their greatness, dignity and independence.
His Eminence thanked the entire Iranian nation and said, “Right at a time when the enemies of the Iranian nation’s independence and dignity expected the people to not respond to the call of the revolution and the Islamic Republic, the nation discouraged the enemies with their presence on the scene.”
Imam Khamenei further said the enemies, despite trying to downplay this presence in their propaganda, realize its importance and know that they cannot stand in the way of this nation.
The Iranian nation toppled the US-backed Pahlavi regime 34 years ago, ending 2,500 years of monarchic rule in the country.
The Islamic Revolution, under the guidance of Imam Khomeini (RA), established a new political system based on Islamic values and democracy.
