Yusuf Bin Rabi’i who heads Bahrain’s Human Rights Society said 44 different programs will be held in 21 countries on that day, Sawt Al-Manama reported.
He said naming the day as International Day to Support Democracy in Bahrain was a suggestion made at the international gathering titled “Backing Democracy and Human Rights in Bahrain” which was organized by the society in Beirut.
Rabi’i called on the international community and all political and legal groups in the world to create an extensive wave of solidarity with Bahrain’s nation.
He also said that Bahrain’s Human Rights Society plans to present a special report to world organizations about violation of the rights of some municipal council members for political reasons.
The revolution of Bahrain began on February 14, 2011, with people demanding their legitimate rights.
