Quran recitation Contest in Moscow

Russia’s Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) Islamic Society held a Quran recitation contest in the capital city of Moscow.
The contest was held on Monday, February 11, at the society’s office with the participation of a number of scholars, thinkers and the city’s Muslims.
According to Nizami Balakanev, head of the society, the competition aimed to spread a Quranic atmosphere in the Muslim community and promote interest in learning and memorizing the Holy Quran.
The jury panel of the contest announced Maqbal Qanbarev, Ali Reza Baqerzadeh and Rauf Hassanev as winners of the first to third ranks.
The winners in a ceremony received their awards from the Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) Islamic Society.
