This is according to Tehran’s interim Friday prayer leader Ayatollah Ahmad Khatami, who added that people’s criterion for judging the officials’ conduct is how loyal they are to Velayat.
Addressing worshippers at Tehran University Campus on Friday, the senior cleric underlined that any official who moves away from the guidelines set by the Vali Faqih will lose his status in people’s eyes.
He praised the Iranian nation for their massive presence in February 10 rallies and said despite the enemies’ efforts to separate people from the revolution, the massive turnout showed that the enemies’ attempts have been in vain.
People’s presence on the scene had clear messages, one of which was the nation’s loyalty to the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khatami underlined.
Renewing allegiance with the aspirations of the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran Imam Khomeini, resistance, opposition to the world arrogance, and ineffectiveness of the sanctions were among other messages of the rallies, he added.
Elsewhere in his sermon, Tehran’s interim Friday prayer leader pointed to the 40th day after the demise of Grand Ayatollah Agha Mojtaba Tehrani and commemorated the great teacher of ethics.
