In his Friday prayer sermon on February 15, Ayatollah Sheikh Issa Ghassem added that the Bahraini nation know no tiredness in trying to have their demands met.
He also said that the martyrdom of Hussein Al-Jazayeri, a teenage boy killed on February 14, as signifying that the ruling regime has given priority to violence over dialogue.
“If dialogue is a deception or joke it is thousands of times more dangerous than lack of dialogue as it would close all doors to resolution of the crisis.”
Ayatollah Ghassem noted that people’s presence in the revolution anniversary rallies once again proved that the nation seeks reforms and that the country’s conditions will only improve if reforms are introduced.
“Our aim is to see reforms that will put an end to the regime’s oppression,” he said, underlining that as long as reforms are delayed, rallies will continue to be held.
People of Bahrain on Friday held a huge rally after the funeral of Martyr Amineh Sayyid who had been killed after inhaling poisonous gas fired by the regime’s security forces.
The demonstrators stressed that they will continue to insist on their demands including the removal of the Al-e Khalifa regime from power.
The funeral of martyr Hussein Al-Jazayeri is planned to be held on Saturday.
