The Quranic community shoulders the same role today as that of the messengers of God, an Al-Mustafa International University scholar said.
In an interview with IQNA, Hojat-ol-Islam Mehdi Rostamnejad said that the Holy Quran refers to intermediaries for people to understand the Quran and that although the Holy Book has been revealed to guide all humanity, not everyone is capable of comprehending all the profound meanings of the Quran.
The Quran says that some of its concepts are only comprehended by the Ol-ol-Albab (the wise) and that no one except the scholars and the wise understand the example mentioned by the Quran, he said., adding that there are Quran experts who should convey the meanings of the Quran.
Hojat-ol-Islam Rostamnejad referred to the Quranic community as an intermediary for conveying the meanings of the Quran to the people of society.
He noted that in order to fulfill its duty of teaching and clarifying the meanings of the Quran, the Quranic community should well comprehend the meanings themselves.
The Al-Mustafa University scholar went on to say that there have been good efforts in the country’s Quranic community to comprehend the Quranic meanings and interpret and clarify them for the society.
