Religion Simply Means Forgiveness
If the entire teachings of the Divine prophets are condensed in one sentence, it can be said that religion is about forgiveness, compassion and giving.
Seminary and university scholar Hojat-ol-Islam Mohamamd Taqi Fa’alli made the remark while addressing the 8th session of the forum on “Islamic Lifestyle’.
It was held at the Iranian Academics Quranic Activities Organization last week.
He said the Divine messengers and men of God gave up everything they had to walk on the path of God.
Hojat-ol-Islam Fa’alli further touched on the styles of life and said beautifying oneself is one of the elements belonging to the contemporary lifestyle.
He said it is a phenomenon that was not a very important issue for boys and girls but now has turned to a major issue even for the elderly.
The scholar noted that some new styles of makeup have emerged today that are rooted in Satanist ideas.
He underlined that makeup and beautifying oneself is now a culture rather than a tool.
He referred to ‘occupation’ as another element of lifestyle, saying that half a century ago most occupations were related to the nature.
“Today, occupation has become very important and issues like unemployment, relations between employers and employees, exploitations, etc have become parts of the different aspects related to occupation.”
Hojat-ol-Islam Fa’alli added that how one speaks is also an element that influences the individual’s style of life.
He said people’s gestures and how they talk, walk, and sit are different from one person to another, adding that it is so important that some politicians employ advisors to tell them how to speak and manage their gestures.
Transportation was another issue mentioned by the scholar as determining one’s lifestyle.
He said with the relative ease in travelling from one place to another as a result of the development of the means of transportation, cultures tend now to move between places.
Hojat-ol-Islam Fa’alli went on to say that the kind of house one lives in, its size, type, architecture, etc also bring changes to the culture and determine the lifestyle of people.
