Memorial Ceremony Held for Late Ayatollah Khoshvaght in Presence of Imam Khamenei

A memorial ceremony was held by the Supreme Leader of the Islamci Revolution Imam Khamenei Sunday evening for the late scholar and teacher of ethics Ayatollah Azizollah Khoshvaght.

According to the website of the Supreme Leader’s Office, the ceremony was held at Imam Khomeini (RA) Hosseiniya (religious center) in the presence of Imam Khamenei.
Late Ayatollah Khoshvaght’s family members and students, as well as heads of the three branches of power, head of the Assembly of Experts, head of the Expediency Council, and a number of other officials and people were also present at the commemoration service.
Quran reciters recited verses from the Holy Book and elegies were recited about the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS) and in commemoration of late Ayatollah Khoshvaght.
Later in the program, Hojat-ol-Islam Sediqi delivered a speech elaborating on the life and virtues of late Ayatollah khoshvaght.
He said the late scholar moved on the path of God’s mercy and never left this path until the end of his life.
Hojat-ol-Islam Sediqi also described Ayatollah Khoshvaght as a perfect model for teachers of ethics and Marifa (knowledge).
Ayatollah Azizollah Khoshvaght passed away last week in the holy city of Makkah.
