Complementary Course for Imams of Mosques in Uzbekistan

The 21st edition of a religious complementary course for imams of mosques and clerics of Uzbekistan is underway at Imam Bukhari International Center in Samarqand Province.
According to IQNA’s branch in Central Asia, the course has been organized by the Office for Muslims’ Religious Affairs aiming to promote the level of religious knowledge and develop skills of the imams and religious preachers of the province.
The office announced that some 70 Uzbek preachers from different provinces such as Samarqand, Bukhara, Qashqadaryo, Surxondaryo, Khwarezm, Navoiy, Jizzakh, Sirdaryo , Andijon, Farg’ona, Namangan, Tashkent and the Republic of Qaraqalpaqstan have taken the course.
Uthman Khan Alimov, Grand Mufti of the region and head of the religious office has been teaching the course since February 25.
It will continue for one month and come to a conclusion on March 27.
Some 1200 individuals have taken part in the 20 previous editions of the educational program.
