The Quran and Etrat Deputy of the Culture Ministry urged the media to introduce the country’s Quranic elites to the society.
Speaking to IQNA’s Khorasan Razavi branch, Hojat-ol-Islam Hamid Mohammadi added that the media should do more to familiarize people with the Quran activists of the country.
He also highlighted the pivotal role of media in promoting the Quranic culture and preparing the ground for developing Quranic activities in society.
The culture ministry official further referred to the recently-held Quran competition for teenagers, called “Shokufeha” (blossoms), and said organizing such events could encourage the youth to learn the Quran.
He added that such Quranic activities are helpful in realizing the plan for training 10 million memorizers of the Holy Quran.
Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammadi noted that the Shokufeha Quran competition, held in the holy city of Mashhad in February, had an ideal level.
