Universities’ Quran Activists to Convene in Shiraz

The southern city of Shiraz will host the first convention of universities’ Quran activists later this month.
Head of the Center for Development of Quranic Activities affiliated to the Supreme Leader’s Representative Office in Universities made the announcement in an interview with IQNA, adding that the session, slated for March 6, is aimed at familiarizing Quran activists with ways for promotion and development of the Quranic culture in universities.
Hojat-ol-Islam Seyyed Mohammad Taheri added that 400 Quran activists from different parts of the country as well as member of the Assembly of Experts Ayatollah Haeri-Shirazi and Quran and Etrat Deputy of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance Hojat-ol-Islam Hamid Mohammadi.
“Ayatollah Haeri-Shirazi will deliver a lecture titled ‘The Quran and the Humbleness of People of Knowledge”, and Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammadi will speak about ways for developing the Quranic culture as well as the expectations of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution from the country’s Quranic community.”
Hojat-ol-Islam Taheri noted that three workshops will be held during the gathering with themes like strategies to implement the Quran memorization plan in universities and plans for organizing Quranic activities in universities.
The cleric went on to say that another such convention for universities’ Quran activists will be held in May.
