Mohammad Babaei told IQNA that the copies will be printed by the end of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21) with the cooperation of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance.
He added that they will be gifted to Islamic countries.
According to the official, different organizations in the country ask the center at different times for Quran copies to gift to other countries and in order to coordinate this activity, sessions have been held in the past three months by organizations and bodies like the culture ministry, Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) World Assembly, Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, Islamic Culture and elations Organization and Center for Printing and Publishing Quran Copies.
He said the center was tasked with conducting research and preparing a Quran copy for publication and that it has prepared a copy in Arabic Naskh script with a newly developed Arabic font.
The Misri (Egyptian) style of I’irab (Inflection and Last vowels) has been selected for the copy, the official noted.
He said the artistic elements used in the copy are fully Iranian and its cover is in Iranian Nasta’liq.
