Designing Islamic-Iranian Model of Development Requires Courage, Strong Motivation
Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khamenei said designing the Islamic-Iranian model of development requires courage, bravery and very strong motivation.
His Eminence made the statement on Monday, March 4, in a meeting with members of the Higher Council of the Center for Islamic-Iranian Model of Development as well as thinkers, university professors and scholars in different fields.
Imam Khamenei described designing the Islamic-Iranian model of development as a great, profound and brilliant endeavor, saying that in order to materialize the model, a discourse about the model should be created in society.
“Designing the Islamic-Iranian model of development is actually presenting the product of the Islamic Revolution and designing a new and advanced civilization in all areas based upon the Islamic thought,” His Eminence said, adding that the scope of the endeavor should be long-term and deep.
The Supreme Leader referred to the influence of the Western civilization on the world and its dominance over all areas of life and said that under such conditions, designing the Islamic-Iranian model of development needs courage, bravery and very strong motivation.
His Eminence underlined that thought and ideas are the main essence of this endeavor and urged that hasty moves should be avoided and new experiences and young talents should be employed so that the driving force of this endeavor will never stop.
Pointing to the presence of the country’s motivated young scientists in advanced scientific centers like those related to nano-technology and nuclear science, Imam Khamenei stressed that the youth should be trusted because their motivation is endless.
His Eminence underlined that Islamic tenets must be taken into account in all stages of designing the model.
The Supreme Leader also regarded using the potentials of Islamic seminaries as necessary, stressing that in designing the model, thought, knowledge, spirituality and life should be relied upon.
His Eminence urged for investigating the problems and defects in other civilizations, saying that Western civilization, as an example, has been founded upon humanism and capitalist view and now signs of decline are seen in this civilization.
Imam Khamenei added that the main element for building an advanced civilization with the least problems is spirituality based on Islam.
