Sunni members of the Majlis (Iran’s parliament) in a statement slammed the crimes and attacks against Shia Muslims in neighboring Pakistan.
They said the recent cruel attacks against Shia Muslims in Pakistan broke the heart of every human being.
Citing verse 32 of Surah Al-Maeda “Because of that We ordained for the Children of Israel that if anyone killed a person not in retaliation of murder, or (and) to spread mischief in the land - it would be as if he killed all mankind, and if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of all mankind. And indeed, there came to them Our Messengers with clear proofs, evidences, and signs, even then after that many of them continued to exceed the limits (e.g. by doing oppression unjustly and exceeding beyond the limits set by Allah by committing the major sins) in the land!”, the MPs added that those who are killed because of others’ dogmatism and biases are martyrs.
They underlined that the world cannot accept Talibanist and prejudiced moves like these anymore.
The Sunni members of the Majlis expressed sympathy with the victims of the terrorist attacks and said the only way for a return of peace and calm to the Muslim world is unity.
They also called on international bodies like the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Non-Aligned Movement and the United Nations to fulfill their duties about such incidents and help to bring the perpetrators of such acts to justice.
Over 400 Shias have been killed in terrorist attacks in Pakistan during the past few months.
