Iran to Dispatch Representatives to Kuwait Int’l Quran Contest

Two internationally known Quran activists will represent the Islamic Republic of Iran at the 4th edition of international Quran recitation and memorization contest in Kuwait.
According to the Center for Quranic Affairs of the Organization of Endowments and Charity Affairs, Seyyed Mostafa Husseini, Iranian Qari and Hussein Mahdizadeh, memorizer of the entire Quran will participate at the international competition.
The previous edition of Kuwait Holy Quran Award was held in April 2012 with the participation of contenders from 50 countries (including 4 non-Muslim states).
It was held in categories including memorization of the entire Quran, recitation, Tajweed and the Best Technology for Serving the Holy Quran.
Reza Golshahi, a 14-year-old Iranian teenager, won the third rank in the recitation category of the contest last year.
The 4th international Holy Quran Award in Kuwait will be held on April 2, 2013.
