50 Countries to Attend Kuwait's 4th Holy Quran Award

The 4th edition of international Quran memorization, Tajweed and recitation contest in Kuwait will be held on April 3 with the participation of representatives from 50 countries.
According to Kuna, deputy of Kuwait’s Ministry of Endowments and Charity Affairs announced that the competition will be organized under the supervision of the country's Emir.
Adel Al-Fallah said that 63 countries have been invited to attend the international event, and that 50 ones announced their readiness to dispatch representatives.
91 Quran reciters and memorizers from 46 Islamic countries as well as represantatives from Russia, Central Africa and Serbia will participate in this year’s competition.
Seyyed Mostafa Husseini, internationally known Qari and Hussein Mahdizadeh, memorizer of the entire Quran will represent the Islamic Republic of Iran at the international event.
It will be held in categories including memorization of the entire Quran, recitation, Tajweed and the Best Technology Developed for Serving the Holy Quran.
The 3rd international Quran competition was held in April 2012 with the participation of contenders from 50 countries (including 4 non-Muslim states) and Reza Golshahi, a 14-year-old Iranian teenager, won the third rank in the recitation category of the contest.
