Int’l Conference in Egypt Investigates Quran Miracles

The second international scientific conference of the Miracles of the Quran and Sunnah began in Egypt on Tuesday.
Egypt’s Beni-Suef University is hosting the event that will conclude on Wednesday, March 13, Al-Shoruq website reported.
It has been organized by the International Commission of Scientific Signs in the Quran and Sunnah under the supervision of Al-Azhar’s Sheikh Ahmed Al-Tayeb and Egypt’s Higher Educaion Minister Mustafa Mus’ad.
Different aspects of the miracles of the Holy Quran related to sciences such as geology, astronomy, engineering, mathematics, zoology, botany and humanities are the themes of this year’s conference.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the committee’s Secretary General Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Musleh said the scientific miracle of the Quran is the best source of inspiration for Muslims to follow the path of research and scientific activities.
He said many of those who have embraced Islam in recent years have done so after studying the scientific miracles in the Quran and Sunnah, a reminder of the verse 53 of Surah Fussilat “”.
Al-Musleh also said that some 1300 verses of the Quran refer to scientific issues such as the existence, biology, astronomy, etc.
Amin Lutfi, chancellor of Beni-Suef University, also delivered a lecture at the ceremony, urging for investments in development of research about the scientific miracles of the Quran.
He also said that promotion of studying the miracles of the Quran helps to spread an accurate image of Islam and to introduce it as a religion that favors knowledge.
