Kuwait’s Nat’l Quran Contest: Preliminary Round Concludes
The preliminary round of Kuwait’s 16th National Quran Competition has wrapped up, Al-Aan newspaper reported.
Titled Al-Khurafi Quran Memorization Award, the competition is annually organized by the Fuhayhal Dar-ul-Quran Center.
Director of the center Nasser Al-Daboos, who also heads the competition’s jury panel, said those who had the best performance in the preliminary round will be contacted by the competition officials to take part in the final round.
He noted that the contest is held for four age groups, children, teenagers, youth and the public, adding that Kuwaitis and expatriates can participate in the last category regardless of their age.
According to Al-Daboos, the preliminary stage of the competition was held in 6 provinces of the country under the supervision of 24 Quran experts committees.
