Directors of Religious Magazines Honored in India

A number of directors of India's religious magazines were honored at a ceremony held by Imamiyyah Organization of the Youth in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh State of India.
According to IQNA’s branch in South Asia, the program began with Quran recitation by Asghar I’jaz, eminent Qari of the region and continued with a speech by Hojat-ol-Islam Shahed Hussein, lecturer of Aligarh Muslim University.
The scholar appreciated the efforts made by directors of Muammel, Tuba and Maryam magazines stating that they have promoted Indian Muslims' awareness and religious knowledge.
Also speaking at the program, was Hojat-ol-Islam Manzar Sadeq, Indian religious intellectual, who talked about the importance of training and education of children.
The program continued with speeches by managing director of Muammel bimonthly and Hojat-ol-Islam Muhammad Aqeel, director of Maryam Monthly who elaborated on activities of their Islamic institutes and objectives of their magazines.
A number of scholars, intellectuals and religious experts as well as Muslim citizens attended the program on April 4.
