Bahrain’s Shia leader said the insistence of religious scholars and Bahraini nation to hold prayers in destroyed mosques indicates their religious zeal and devotion.
Addressing worshippers at Imam Sadeq (AS) Mosque on Friday, April 5, Ayatollah Sheikh Issa Qassem, referred to the Bahraini regime’s destroying mosques and said it is a grave and disgraceful event whose reprehensibility will not be removed by the passage of time.
He underlined that if enmity with the religion and desecration of the houses of God is to continue and if permission is not issued for rebuilding the destroyed mosques, people’s anger and dishonor for Al-e Khalifa regime will grow.
Ayatollah Qassem said the martyrs of Bahrain’s revolution gave the nation the lesson of steadfastness and insistence for gaining rights, adding that nation of Bahrain will not give up an inch of the destroyed mosques.
He went on to stress that the insistence by scholars, seminarians, and people of Bahrain to hold congregational prayers in the mosques destroyed by the regime was proof of their religious zeal and their devotion to Islam.
