The main factor in the economic and political epic is people’s presence on the scene, a senior Qom seminary scholar told IQNA.
Referring to the naming of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21) by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution as the Year of Political and Economic Epic, Hojat-ol-Islam Mohsen Gharavian added that the use of the word epic by Imam Khamenei indicates the need for a national resolve among the people and officials of the country in the fields of politics and economy.
He noted that an epic will not be realized by a few people or by the officials alone. “The participation of the people on the political and economic scenes is the major factor (in realizing an epic). People should be present on the scene and strive to resolve the country’s problems.”
Hojat-ol-Islam Gharavian said that people should be vigilant in political scenes, including in the main political event of the year which is the presidential election.
“In the field of economy, we should rely more on the nation’s creativity, innovation and labor in order to overcome the sanctions,” he went on to say.
