Quran Contest for Teenagers in Russia
A Quran competition is planned to be held in Russia for children and teenagers later this month.
Slated for Thursday, April 25, the contest will be hosted by the old mosque in the Stariy Iryuk town, IQNA’s Europe branch reported.
An official with the religious affairs department of the region said some 70 children and teenagers under the age of 15 will take part in the Quranic event.
He added that the competition is to be held in the categories of memorization and recitation of the Holy Quran.
Organizers say the winners will be awarded precious prizes at the end of the competition.
