Conference on “Religious Rules of Dialogue” in India

The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), in cooperation with the Islamic Fiqh Academy in India and Delhi University, will hold an academic symposium on “Religious and Methodological Rules of Dialogue among Followers of Religions” in Delhi, India, on 22-24 April 2013.
The symposium aims at addressing the issue of dialogue among followers of religions in the light the purposes of the Sharia, and presenting the religious underlying aspects of dialogue ethics. The symposium will also seek to urge scholars and religious sciences students to adopt the principle of Al-Ijtihad in the jurisprudence and ethics of dialogue, classify religious rules as a way to prove the vitality of the Sharia and its ability to resolve disputes, and present the Sharia as a guiding line for Muslims.
During this event, 30 academic researchers will be presented by a host of Indian scholars. Also, participants will discuss the following axes: roots and bases of the jurisprudence of dialogue; the jurisprudence of dialogue in the light of the Holy Quran and the Sunnah; dialogue in the Islamic jurisprudence; the religious basics of mutual understanding and rapprochement with followers of religions, the religious and methodological rules of dialogue; Revealed religions in the Holy Quran and the Sunnah; the religious rules to establish communication with followers of religions; dialogue to highlight common values of coexistence among followers of religions; and methods of dialogue with followers of Indian religions in the light of the Sharia.
