A rally of “Support for the Holy Quran” was held in the Palestinian city of Um Al-Fahm on Friday to promote memorization and recitation of the Quran.
It was organized by the Um Al-Fahm-based Hara Institute as part of the institute’s Quranic programs called “Our Children and the Quran”.
The rally began from Abu Ubaida Mosque and ended at Al-Qarbiya Square several streets away.
Students of Hara Institute, who were present in the rally, held copies of the Quran in their hands and shouted slogans like “There is no God but Allah ,the Quran is the Book of God”.
At the end of the rally, those students who had managed to learn some Juzes (parts) of the Quran by heart were honored.
Hassan Walid, head of Hara Institute, thanked those who attended the rally and said such programs help to promote the Quran in society and bring about a bright future for the future generations.
