Nouakchott to Host Regional Quranic Event
A regional Quranic conference is set to be held in the Mauritanian capital of Nouakchott on Monday, April 22.
According to egy-day website, it will be held by the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO).
The conference will focus on issues related to supporting memorizers of the Holy Quran and how to strengthen their role in society.
30 memorizers of the Quran as well as directors of Quran institutes and Quranic societies from Arab and African countries will take part in the regional event.
It is aimed at discussing ways for developing the knowledge of Quran memorizers and preparing them to partake in sustainable development programs.
It will also seek to update and enhance Quran education methods and plan for developing Quranic institutes.
The conference will further discuss ways for employing new technologies in Quran education and encouraging the exchange of experience among Quran memorization and Quran teaching experts.
