Quran and Hadith Encyclopedia to be Presented at Tehran Int’l Book Fair

Head of Dar-ol-Hadith Scientific-Cultural Institute announced that 16 volumes of Quran and Hadith Encyclopedia will be presented in this edition of Tehran International Book Fair.
Talking to IQNA, Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Ja’far Tajalli said that the encyclopedia was originally titled Mosu’ah Al-Ma’aref Al-Kitab wa Al-Sunnah and is expected to be completed in 100 volumes in a period of 20 years.
He added that the comprehensive source has so far been compiled in 10 volumes in Arabic and 16 volumes in both Arabic and Persian.
When completed, it will cover an overall number of 11,533 Hadiths, Hojat-ol-Islam Tajalli said.
The scholar noted that the mentioned volumes include 49 entries beginning with letters (a) and (b).
He referred to other publications of the Dar-ol-Hadith Scientific-Cultural Institute and said it published 75 books, including 21 new titles, last year.
The institute started its activities in 1987 under the supervision and patronage of Imam Khomeini (RA).
The Astan of Hazrat Abdul Azim (AS) holy shrine and Islamic Consultative Assembly support the institute's activities.
The 26th edition of Tehran International Book Fair will be held from May 1 to 11 at Imam Khomeini (RA) Mosalla (prayer hall).
