Tajweed Seminar at Imam Ali’s (AS) Mausoleum
A seminar on “Art of Tajweed Recitation of the Quran” was held on Sunday, April 21, at the mausoleum of Imam Ali (AS) in Najaf, Iraq.
It was organized by the Thought and Culture Department of the custodianship of the mausoleum.
Speaking at the seminar, head of the department Ali Al-Shukri said Quranic endeavors are among the top priorities of the department because the Holy Book is an everlasting miracle and contains Islamic tenets.
According to Ahmad Al-Najafi, an official with the organizing committee, 400 Iraqi university students took part in the one-day seminar.
It was held in line with efforts to enhance relations between academic centers and the custodianship of Imam Ali’s (AS) mausoleum.
