Jammu & Kashmir’s Jamaat Islami to Participate in Int'l Conference in Tehran
World Assembly of Islamic Awakening has invited Ameer-e-Jamaat Islami, Jammu & Kashmir Mohammad Abdullah Wani for participating in a two-day international conference on unity of Millat-e-Islamia scheduled to be held in Tehran.
According to party spokesperson, Advocate Zahid Ali , Ameer-e-Jamaat Islami, J&K Mohammad Abdullah Wani has received an invitation letter from World Assembly of Islamic Awakening to attend the event on 29th and 30th April, 2013.
“Ameer-e-Jamaat has decided to attend the conference provided the passport is issued by the government of India.” Zahid Ali Said in an issued statement adding, invitation letter has been sent by General Secretary World Assembly of Islamic Awakening, Dr. Ali Akbar Velayati.
A large number of Muslim scholars and intellectuals are expected to participate in the function aimed at studying various aspects of the popular Islamic Awakening Wave sweeping the nations.
