Comprehensive Islamic Atlas to Be Published in Russia
A comprehensive Islamic Atlas is to be published in Moscow, Russia, by Feoriya Publications.
According to IQNA’s branch in Europe, the public relations office of Russia’s Muftiat Council announced that it is the first time that such a collection is compiled in the country.
He said the project to compile the work is expected to be completed by the end of 2013.
A number of scholars and intellectuals, experts of Islamic sciences and religious, scientific and educational institutes in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, and Kazan are cooperating in the project.
The Atlas will serve as a useful source for researchers in religious, historical and cultural fields and will provide valuable information on various aspects of Islam and its development in the world, particularly in Russia.
