National Quran Memorization Contest Planned in Tajikistan
Tajikistan's national contest on memorization of the Holy Quran will be held by the country's Islamic University in Dushanbe.
According to IQNA’s branch in Central Asia, the contest will be held for different groups of participants including children, teenagers and the youth under 25 years of age.
Memorization of the entire Quran, memorization of 20 Juzes (parts), memorization of three Juzes along with interpretation and memorization of the entire Quran along with memorization of 40 Hadiths are some of the categories of the contest.
Representatives of the World Association of Quran Memorization, which is based in Saudi Arabia, will supervise the competition.
Tajikistan's Office for Muslims' Religious Affairs officially has assigned the university as the organizer of such Quranic programs.
