Quranic Sessions Planned by Astan of Imam Hussein (AS) Holy Shrine
The Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussein (AS) holy shrine in Karbala plans to hold Quran recitation sessions in Iran’s Khuzestan province.
According to the website of Imam Hussein’s (AS) holy shrine, Ali Kazem Sultan, an official with the Astan said it is part of a cultural week planned in the city of Ahzvaz, Khuzestan province.
He said the cultural week will be held from Thursday May 2 to Thursday May 9.
It will also include poetry reading sessions, cultural seminars with themes like Imam Hussein’s (AS) uprising, film screening, and an exhibition featuring the Atabat Aliyat (holy sites in Iraq).
Mr. Kazem Sultan noted that the Astan of Hazrat Abbas (AS) will also cooperate in organizing the cultural week and that required coordination have been made with the Khuzestan province’s governorship.
The Astan of Imam Hussein (AS) holy shrine held such a cultural week in Lebanon last year, whcih was a successful experience according to the official.
