Brunei University Plans “Holy Quran in Globalization Era” Conference

The Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University in Brunei plans to organize an international conference titled “The Holy Quran in the Era of Globalization”.
The Usul Din (religious tenets) College of the university will host the international event on September 11-12, diae.net website reported.
Verse 19 of the Holy Quran’s Sura Al-Isra, “This Quran guides to the straightest way; It gives glad tidings of a great wage to the believers who do good deeds,” has been selected as the motto of the Quranic conference.
It aims, among other things to bring together Quranic scholars and thinkers, present the latest research studies in the field of Quranic sciences, discuss ways for using new technologies to spread the Quran’s teachings, clarify different dimensions of the Quran’s scientific miracles, and highlight the role of leading countries and institutions in Quranic studies.
“Holy Quran and recitations”, “Holy Quran, interpretation and how to activate its guiding aspect”, “Quran and scientific miracle”, “Quran and its relations with sciences”, “Holy Quran and human civilization”, “Holy Quran and modern challenges”, and “Holy Quran and inviting to God”, are the main themes of the event.
There will also be some side-line themes such as the history of Quran recitation, interpretation of the Quran and its history, best methods of Quran translation, how scholars in the past and present have clarified the Quran’s miracles, and endeavors made by countries and institutions about the miracles of the Quran.
