Shia Concept and Its Reflection in Quran Investigated in Italy

The concept of Shi'ism and its reflection in the Holy Quran were investigated in a Shia studies course in Italy.
According to IQNA’s ICRO branch, the Islamic Studies Department of the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Palermo in Sicily hosted the course.
Organized by Iran Cultural Center in Italy, the course was instructed by Hojat-ol-Islam Shameli, lecturer of Qom Seminary School.
It was held in line with the scientific and cultural interactions of the Islamic Republic of Iran with scientific, academic, religious and cultural institutions abroad.
“Shia Imams (AS) and their thoughts”, “concept of Shi'ism and its reflection in the Holy Quran’s verses”, “political Islam and Western democracy; attractions and repulsions” and “mysticism, philosophy and wisdom in Shia belief” were among the themes of the course.
